ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF FEES INCURRED WHEN PAYING BY CREDIT CARD

In order to make a payment by credit card, you understand and agree to the following:

1. That The Green Law Firm, P.C. uses services such as Paypal and Square, Inc. (hereinafter referred to as “Square”) to process credit card payments which you authorize towards paying a debt you owe to our client.

2. Square's processing fees are 2.75% for magstripe card transactions, chip card transactions, contactless (NFC) payments, and paid Square Invoices. The fee for Online Store sales are 2.9% + 30 cents, and manually entered transactions are 3.5% + 15 cents. These fees apply to all business types, including non-profit organizations. 

3. When paying by phone, The Green Law Firm, P.C. must manually enter the transaction and so the fees charged by Square are 3.5% + 15 cents.

4. The fees are retained by Square before The Green Law Firm, P.C. receives payment.

5. The payment The Green Law Firm, P.C. receives through Square is the net amount.  The net amount means your total authorized charge less the fees charged by Square. Therefore, the credit you will receive when using a credit card will be the net amount The Green Law Firm, P.C. receives through Square.

6. For example, a credit card payment of $100.00 incurs a Square charge of $3.65.  The net amount is $96.35.  The Green Law Firm, P.C. will actually receive $96.35 and the credit you will receive is $96.35.

7.  Square fees are subject to change and you agree that such fees are subject to change.

8. If you wish to avoid fees charged by Square, then you may send us a check or money order.

9.  We reserve the right to stop accepting payment by credit card at any time and for any reason.
